Sunshine and showers for Sheffield as Bank Holiday weekend begins
The first day of the bank holiday weekend will bring mixed weather for Sheffield, with sunshine and showers forecast for the city on Saturday.
The Met Office forecast for Saturday, May 1 says there will be a bright start to the day, frosty in places but quickly warming up with sunny spells.
Showers will then develop in the late morning before turning heavy at times during the afternoon. The maximum temperature 10°C.

Showers will then die away this evening to leave yet another clear and cold night. It will be frosty in most areas by dawn and the minimum temperature will be -3 °C.
Sunday is currently forecast to be similar to Saturday, with showers developing during the morning and a risk of hail in heavier bursts later.
Showers will then ease into the evening and there will be a touch of frost in prone rural locations overnight. The maximum temperature will be 12°C.
