All Supertram services running

Just some reassurances ahead of the rush for home time this afternoon - Stagecoach Supertram say all services are still running as of 4.10pm.

Rowan School closes for Friday

Another school that will not be open on Friday is Rowan School in the Totley and Dore area. The city council has confirmed the closure in the past 15 minutes.

A tram has broken down on the Blue and Purple routes

Ahead of the rush home this afternoon, a Stagecoach Supertram has broken down on the Blue and Purple routes.

It means there will be temporarily be no services between Sheffield Station and Gleadless Townend in either direction.

Stocksbridge Junior School closed tomorrow

And another - Stocksbridge Junior School will be closed tomorrow due to the heavy snow.

Disruption on Supertram Purple route

After an earlier incident where a tram broke down on the Supertram Purple and Blue routes, there have been further complications meaning the service is now suspended.

Stagecoach say road vehicles are getting stuck on Rideway Road due to snow blocking routes nearby and creating congestion.

The purple route service is now suspended. Blue route route services are currently operating between Sheffield Station and Malin Bridge. No service is operating Between Sheffield Station and Halfway in both directions.

More schools closed for tomorrow

Yet more Sheffield schools will not be open tomorrow.

They include: Shooters Grove, Forge Valley School, St Ann’s Catholic Primary School, Bradfield School and Stocksbridge Junior School.
