Next Monday, May 3, could well be a washout, with the Met Office predicting showers in the afternoon turning to heavy downpours once darkness falls. Windy conditions are also expected, with gusts of over 30mph likely.

It will remain chilly, with a high of 11C on Monday and just 10C on the other two days, and a low of 1C on Saturday.

On the bank holiday Monday, the best weather will be in the morning, which is expected to be cloudy but dry, with light rain from around 4pm and heavy rain from 10pm.
