Sheffield set for weekend scorcher but Met Office warns THUNDERSTORMS will follow

Sheffield is set to bask in temperatures in the high twenties this weekend with bright sunshine every day, however thundery showers will bring an end to it at the start of next week.

The Met Office has predicted highs of 29C and sunshine today (Friday), cooling to to 22C by 11pm tonight.

And on Saturday the sunny weather will continue, with highs of 25C. On Sunday there will also be sunshine and highs of 22C.

There is a very low chance of rain at all throughout the weekend, and it will remain still with the highest wind speed all weekend being around 11mph.

It will get worse after the weekend, however, with yellow weather warnings in place for South Yorkshire on Monday and Tuesday.

The warnings form the Met Office are for thunderstorms, and they are in place consistently for the whole of Monday August 10 and Tuesday August 11.
