Earlier this week, long range forecasts predicted three days of snow – but those hoping for a heavier sprinkling of the white stuff in Sheffield this weekend might be disappointed.

While there has been a covering in the hills and Peak District over night, with Stanage Edge getting some snow, at lower levels it has been a mixture of snow and sleet.
