Sheffield Cineworld issues reopening update to customers after Storm Ciara forced emergency closure

Cineworld in Sheffield has re-opened today after damage caused by Storm Ciara led to its closure yesterday.

Witnesses said a gust of wind blew through the automatic doors, and blew out windows – shattering the glass in the lobby area.

Photographs of the damage was shared online showing the extent of the damage, including mangled window frames and shattered glass.

The cinema was closed as a precaution but has re-opened today as normal after repairs.

Customers were offered refunds.
