Tuesday, March 30, is set to be the hottest day so far this year, with the city set for all-day sunshine as conditions feel more like summer than spring.

The temperature is expected to peak at 20C in Sheffield at 4pm, according to the Met Office which is higher than the maximum of 18C forecast in Barcelona.

It might be too early to unpack the summer wardrobe just yet, though, with the mini-heatwave only expected to last one more day.

While Wednesday will bring a mixture of sunshine and cloud, with a top temperature of 19C, a high of just 10C is forecast for Thursday.

It is expected to warm up a little in time for Easter Sunday, with the temperature forecast to peak at 13C that day but a low of just 1C likely.
