As much of Sheffield wakes up to a blanket of snow, here is all of the latest on disruption being caused to the city, which includes the cancellation of the Percy Pud race.

Sheffield is experiencing disruption and transport delays, following heavy snowfall in several parts of the city.

Disruption to several bus services

Several of Sheffield's bus services have been disrupted this morning, with some being diverted and others cancelled.

A spokesperson for First South Yorkshire said: "Due to the inclement weather and road conditions that have/ will follow, we are unfortunately unable to operate a normal service: 1, 1a & 11, 8, 18/18a, 20, 24, 25, 41, 51, 52a, 56, 75, 76, 81, 82, 83, 86, 95/95a, 97, 98, 120, 272"

- 1, 1a & 11: Chapeltown / Sheffield- diverted- terminating Olive Grove Road Herdings - terminating firth park

- 73: Sheffield- diverted- missing out Treeton , diverted via Sheffield Parkway Catcliffe Brinworth Rotherham

- 52a: Woodhouse- terminating at fence round about Hillsborough - terminating at the Children's Hospital 56: Wybourn -terminating at city centre Nether Edge- normal route to Nether Edge - 75: Shiregreen- terminating Firth Park Batemoor- terminating Meadowhead - 76: Shiregreen- terminating Firth Park Lowedges- 75 ROUTE TO MEADOWHEAD THEN ON TO LOWEDGES VIA 24 ROUTE

- 81: Dore/Millhouses- terminating at Hunters Bar Stannington- terminating at Malin Bridge 82: Dore/Millhouses- terminating at Hunters Bar Hall Park Head- terminating at Malin Bridge

Percy Pud 10K, one of Sheffield’s most adored running events, was due to return to Loxley Valley today for its 30 event.

Organisers confirmed this morning (Sunday, December 3, 2023) that the popular Christmas pudding race would not be going ahead following the heavy snow.

Around 3,000 runners were expected to take part,

Announcing the cancellation, a spokesperson for the Steel City Striders Public Page said on Facebook: "I am very sorry to announce that this year’s Percy pud 10k has now been cancelled due to heavy snow it looks like it’s everywhere.

"We are going to try our best to make sure we are back on for next Sunday. All the runners will be sent a message to let them know , I’m very sorry.Check on here for updates.

"A chap who lives on the course has just called me to say it’s really Dangerous out there."
