How long will the sun keep shining? Sheffield weather forecast as temperatures keep rising

After one of the nicest weekend of the year so far, many of us will have got used to spending time in the sunshine and enjoying the outdoor fun Sheffield has to offer.

And with lockdown restrictions easing, spending time with friends in the nice weather will be top of many people’s agendas, raising the question: how long will the good weather last?

Fortunately, it looks set to stick around for the rest of the week, with temperatures consistently topping 20C and sunny spells throughout.

The week got off to a fine start today (June 7), with highs of 22C and sunshine breaking through the clouds in the morning. There is a slight chance of light rain showers early on this afternoon but it will stay warm all day.

After that it looks unlikely to rain for the rest of the week.

Here is how the weather will be for the rest of the week, according to the Met Office.

Tuesday June 8: Sunny all day with highs of 22C at around 4pm.

Wednesday June 9: Highs of 23C, sunny, changing to cloudy by lunchtime.

Thursday June 10: Highs of 23C, sunny changing to cloudy intervals by late morning.

Friday June 11: Sunny all day, with highs of 23C.

Saturday June 12: Sunny intervals all day with highs of 21C.

Sunday June 13: Sunny all day with highs of 23C.

And with the longest day of the year fast approaching, the sunset if getting later every day. This week you can count on it staying light until after 9.30pm.
