Hour-by-hour weather forecast for Sheffield as Met Office warns of heavy snow

Snow is forecast to fall for much of the morning, from 2am to 9am, followed by sleet and rain.

A yellow warning is in place for snow and ice from 10pm today, Monday, February 1, until the end of Tuesday.

The Met Office has advised people of possible travel delays, power cuts and disruption to mobile phone coverage, and it says there is also a chance of injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.

Temperatures are expected to reach a low of 0C, which will feel like -3C, before rising throughout the rest of the day to 5C. While no more snow is forecast for the afternoon, a mixture of sleet, heavy rain and mist is likely.

The rest of the week is expected to be largely cloudy, with a high of 8C on Wednesday before the temperature drops again, reaching a low of -1C on Sunday.
