Hour-by-hour weather forecast: Sheffield to sizzle this weekend as temperatures reach 25C

The Met office has confirmed the warm weather is set to continue with the weekend set with temperatures reaching a sizzling 25C.

The warm weather looks set to stick around for the rest of this week, with temperatures consistently topping 20C and sunny spells throughout.

Looking ahead to the weekend, temperatures are expected to soar.From Saturday high pressure is likely to bring a lot of dry and settled weather across the country at first. it is expected to be very warm perhaps hot for a time.

Aiden McGivern a meteorologist from the Met Office, said: “High pressure builds in for the weekend and temperatures will rise and those temperatures may well be hotter on Sunday compared to Saturday . Sunday is the 13th of June and it's the only date when 30C hasn't been recorded in the UK - watch this space!”

As we head into the second half of next week, there are signs that less settled conditions could extend to other parts of the country with temperatures returning to nearer normal by the end of the week.
