Festivalgoers may want to pack a poncho this weekend, just in case
Sheffield could see its first rainy day in weeks just in time for the return of Tramlines this weekend.
The Met Office is predicting large parts of South Yorkshire and England will see showers this weekend following weeks of hot weather and several heatwaves.
It comes as Tramlines, a three-day long music festival, returns to Hillsborough Park from Friday to Sunday (July 24-26).

Headliners include Fatboy Slim, Kaiser Chiefs and Vanessa Carlton on Friday, with Courteeners and Rick Astley on Saturday and the likes of Wolf Alice and Wet Leg on Sunday.
In Sheffield, forecasters say another warm weekend will see light rain by the Saturday evening followed by a good chances of drizzle all day Sunday.
It’s very, very unlikely to be on the same scale as Tramlines 2023, when famously the heavy crowds and a large downpour churned Hillsborough Park into a mud bath.
