Flash flooding and lightning wreaked havoc in Sheffield yesterday – is more to come?

Sheffield suffered flash flooding and saw lightning across the skies above the city yesterday, but what will today bring?

According to the Met Office, Sheffield is set for a largely dry day with a 50 per cent chance of rain between 5pm and 6pm before a dry evening.

Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 20C.

It is expected to be cool and cloudy in the east and sunny in the west but becoming increasingly cloudy with showery rain.

Low cloud, mist and fog clearing to sunshine and afternoon showers is expected on Friday and it is set to be dry and warm on Saturday and showery on Sunday.
