With thousands of runners expected to take to the streets of Sheffield for the annual half marathon this morning, what does the weather have in store?

The Asda Foundation Sheffield Half Marathon will start on Arundel Gate at 9.30am before winding its way through the city centre, towards the Peak District and back into town with the finish line set up on Pinstone Street, near Sheffield Town Hall.

And the good news is that the Met Office is predicting a dry day.

Forecasters said there was expected to be a dry start, with some hazy sunshine before cloud thickens through the morning.

The maximum temperature will be 11 °C.

Outbreaks of rain will gradually ease from the south overnight, allowing areas of mist and fog to develop under clearing skies.

The overnight minimum temperature is 5 °C.
