We expect large returns

I see former councillor Sioned-Mair Richards has been appointed the Assistant Police and Crime Commissioner for South Yorkshire, a very important position and one that cannot be taken lightly.

I do hope that now she is no longer a Labour councillor she cuts all her political ties utterly and completely and becomes a completely independent person able to freely seek out the truth regardless of how much embarrassment and pain it may cause or how many votes it may cost.

For example, I do hope she can unearth the lost laptops at Rotherham Council, laptops that are I expect filled to the brim with valuable data, data that would I am sure place many people under extreme scrutiny, why else would they disappear from a locked room with no evidence of a break in?

It is my hope that a new broom will sweep clean in South Yorkshire, crimes, especially crimes against children and sexual grooming crimes should but do not always transcend political alliances and interests, let us all hope that Sioned-Mair Richards is the person to smash the old ways that have in recent years marred Rotherham so badly.

We the people of South Yorkshire will after all be paying her a very large wage, it is only fair we expect very large returns.

I know I speak for every right-minded South Yorkshire person when I send my best wishes for good hunting to Sioned!
