THE Star wants to find South Yorkshire’s top dogs – and they don’t have to be a prize pooch.
We have launched a search for Beauty and the Beast – the region’s cutest dog as well as some of the more unusual-looking hounds, even if your beloved canine looks more like Mugly, the world’s ugliest dog, than a Crufts champion.
Mugly, a rescue dog from Peterborough in Cambridgeshire, was named the world’s ugliest dog at the annual competition held in the US.
The eight-year-old Chinese crested mutt won $1,000 – and a year’s worth of dog cookies.
To enter our competition, just send a photograph of your dog, along with your name, address and a daytime telephone number and the dog’s name, to firstname.lastname@example.org to arrive no later than noon on Saturday, March 16.
All photographs will be featured in The Star, before we invite readers to vote for their favourite.
