A Sheffield suburb was gridlocked this morning while water pipe repair work was carried out.
The work on Catch Bar Lane, Hillsborough, caused severe delays in the suburb, according to motorists caught up in huge queues.

Chelsea McGrory, from Yorkshire Water, said: "We’d like to apologies to customers affected by the work we’re carrying out in the Catch Bar Lane area of Hillsborough.

"Our service partners, Morrison Utility Services, are currently working on our behalf to relay a service pipe to a property experiencing low pressure.
"The first half of the work has been completed and the second half is due to commence this evening.
"We plan to have the relay complete and the area back to normal by the end of the day tomorrow."
