CASH raised at a swimathon which saw tiny tots take to the water was handed over in a presentation at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
Swimbabes, which teaches 180 Sheffield youngsters to swim at Mylnhurst School in Ecclesall, organised the swimathon in aid of Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
Nationally, Swimbabes is hoping to raise £6,000 which will be split between children’s wards and hospitals in the local region.
In Sheffield, four events were organised to help towards the target.
George Molloy from Swimbabes, visited the hospital to hand over £1,000 to Cheryl Ridge from the Children’s Hospital Charity.
Laura Molloy, who founded company after son Joshua’s heart condition was helped by swimming, said: “Our swimathons have always been extremely successful.”
