Oldham's Anthony Gerrard posted a video on Twitter of the waterlogged surface, with the defender performing a 'Klinsmann' dive into a couple of puddles.

The video was posted on Monday and further rain is forecast today and tomorrow, although Manchester is predicted to be 'mostly' sunny on Friday and Saturday so the game should still go ahead.

Wilder, whose side are ten points clear of third-placed Fleetwood, have played some eye-catching football this season but might struggle to replicate that on Saturday, as they look to take another giant step towards the Championship.

"That will be a different game, on a difficult pitch," Wilder admitted after Saturday's 2-1 victory over Charlton.
