Manager Chris Wilder confirmed the news in his post-match press conference, after Chris Basham's winner sent United joint top of the Championship table.

The home team controlled the majority of the first half before making the pressure count early in the second when Chris Basham headed home the winner. Both sides hit the crossbar as well, but Ipswich were perhaps fortunate to lose the game by only the one goal.

Freeman has only just returned from a rib injury, and now faces another spell on the sidelines. George Baldock, United's other right-back who damaged his calf in United's last game at Nottingham Forest, is expected to be back fit for next weekend's game at home to Reading.
