Train station buff Paul Casillas, who has uploaded videos of station announcements from across the country, shared the 22 minute clip on the video sharing website this week.

The clip, which has been viewed hundreds of times, includes highlights such as: "We are sorry that the 13.11 First TransPennine Express service to Manchester Airport is delayed by six minutes" and "The next train to depart from platform 1A will the 13.14 Northern service to Leeds."

The clip, which has the messages subtitled with white captions on a black screen but no actual footage of the station of trains, also includes messages over the public address about delays and refreshment services available on various rail services as well as lists of stations trains will be calling at.

The footage, entitled "Sheffield Station announcements part 2" was uploaded to the site earlier this week.

Previous videos uploaded by Mr Casillas include announcements recorded as far afield as Taunton, Norwich, Bath and Edinburgh.

There are also recordings of announcements at airports and the clips have had nearly 700,000 views.

And fellow rail buffs have called on him to upload videos of announcements from other stations.

Ryan Dooley wrote: "can you do more at Liverpool Lime Street and one more at Birmingham New Street" while Nick Beggs wrote: "Hello. Please could you record the new Announcements at Manchester Victoria? They are provided by Anne/Britney and are very good."

A previous video of announcements at Sheffield, uploaded three years ago, has been watched nearly 8,000 times.
