Firefighters are continuing to tackle a huge blaze at a former factory in Rotherham town centre.
Five fire engines from Rotherham, Elm Lane, Parkway, Maltby and Aston Park along with an aerial appliance were called to the former Guest and Chrimes building at around 3.50am this morning (Sunday).
The building was well alight when crews arrived and smoke was billowing across the town centre.
People living near the scene have been advised to keep their windows and doors closed.
The site has been earmarked for redevelopment as part of the transformation of Rotherham town centre.
A South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said an investigation into the cause of the fire will be carried out once it has been fully extinguished.
