WATCH: Billy Sharp dedicates Sheffield United's victory at Chesterfield to terminally-ill youngster Kasabian Newton-Smith

Sharp scored one of United's four goals in their rampant win at the Proact this afternoon, and celebrated with one arm in the air - a trend inspired by the #1LastSmile4Kasabian campaign on Twitter.

Eight-year-old Kasabian, from Parson Cross, was diagnosed with cancer when he was two years old but developed inoperable brain tumours last year. He is due to turn nine in December but with his health deteriorating medics have advised his family to bring his birthday celebrations forward.

Sharp and Blades teammate Chris Basham visited Kasabian last week, and Sharp enlisted the help of former Southampton teammate Adam Lallana to make one of Kasabian's dreams come true - to receive a video message from England skipper Wayne Rooney. Rooney sent Kasabian his signed shirt from the Scotland game on Friday, and Sharp - named man of the match as United beat Chesterfield - dedicated the victory to Kasabian in his live interview with Sky Sports.

South Yorkshire firefighters also touched by Kasabian's battle helped make one of his dreams come true after hearing that spending a day as a firefighters is on the youngster's 'bucket list'. He was invited to Barnsley station where he was dressed as a firefighter and taken for a ride in an engine.
