Watch: Another penalty denied? More refereeing misery for ten-man Sheffield Wednesday in 2-0 defeat to Derby County

Last week it was Keiran Lee who saw a blatant penalty appeal turned down and this time it was Steven Fletcher's turn to be denied.

Sheffield Wednesday lost again, this time to Derby County, in a match that was all but settled in the opening four minutes after skipper Glenn Loovens had given away a penalty himself and was in turn sent off. Matej Vydra who was the man brought down, took the penalty to open the scoring for the Rams.

However, the Owls were denied a route back into the game when Steven Fletcher appeared to be bundled over in the box in the first half by Craig Forsyth in a similar incident to that which saw Loovens walk. Referee Scott Duncan turned down the appeals and Derby, despite a spirited display from ten-man Wednesday, would go on to win 2-0 with substitute Bradley Johnson scoring the second late on.

Carvalhal said afterwards: "I don't know if I'm more upset that the referee doesn't give the penalty or what he says to Fletcher because he says to Fletcher 'I saw that he push your shirt but you must stay up', which I think is bad in my opinion."
