HAYFEVER sufferers are being urged to make sure they are safe to drive if they’ve taken medication to ease their symptoms.
Derbyshire Road Safety Partnership is warning motorists some prescription drugs can cause drowsiness and impaired judgement.
Partnership chairman Mike Ashworth said: “Drivers who suffer from hay fever face a difficult situation. The symptoms of their condition can affect their ability to drive safely but so can some of the medicines they may take to control them. Many don’t realise prescription or over-the-counter medication can affect their ability to drive safely.”
