Waiting and loading restrictions are to be introduced on some of Sheffield’s busiest roads - with a two-week warning starting on Monday.
Parts of Ecclesall Road, Rushby Street andUpwell Street and Meadowhall Road and Brightside Lane will be affected.
A full enforcement of bus lane restrictions for using a bus lane, rather than parking in it, on the inbound section of Spital Hill also begins in two months, with a warning notice period starting today.
Coun Leigh Bramall, Sheffield Council’s cabinet member for business, said: “We really don’t want people to get tickets so we are promoting this and are going to be running a warning notice period where financial penalties won’t be imposed just to get people used to the system.”
“This is something most other cities don’t do.”
After the warning period, the council will stop issuing notices and full enforcement will begin.
All vehicles using the bus lane will then receive a full penalty charge notice.
