A massive swarm of bees which has taken up residence on a bollard near a Sheffield school has triggered a warning.

This photo was sent in by Star reader Claire Salt. It shows a huge swarm of bees massing on a bollard on Ecclesall Road, just off Pomona Street, Sheffield.

The bees are close to Porter Croft School.

Claire said: “Warning for anyone round the back of Champs, Eccy Rd as there’s bees galore on one of the bollards

“They have been there for much of the day, quite scary as Porter Croft School is close by.”
