Environmental enthusiasts are holding walks around a Sheffield beauty spot.

Join the experts from the Wadsley and Loxley Commoners to discover the geology, natural history and the local legends of the area on Saturday.

A spokesman said: “Walk leaders Alan Bailey and John Robinson will take people for a round walk of around two to three miles.

“Anyone wanting to take part can either meet at 6pm at the Rural Lane car park, off Wadsley Lane, or meet opposite WH Smith at the Pond Street Travel Interchange at 5.20pm, to catch the number 57 bus at 5.30pm to reach the start point.”

On Sunday, bird expert John Robinson will be leading a dawn chorus walk from 5am starting at Rural Lane car park, Wadsley.
