Walkers beware

As the weather was lovely yesterday, my wife and I went for a walk with my brother and his wife.

We went on a Yorkshire Water-mapped walk, around Underbank reservoir, via Midhope and Langsett reservoirs.

As there is no car park, we parked yards from the start of the walk, on the end of Smithymoor Avenue.

It is worth noting that Stocksbridge Walkers group state that walkers are welcome and that we were parked a long way from anyone’s drive.

So it was a shock when we returned to our cars and found they had both been vandalised, probably with a screwdriver or key.

We understand this has happened before on this road.

Other drivers be aware of this and if anyone knows the culprit, please tell the police.
