Wake up and see the reality

Does this person really believe that the citizens of our fine city will decide to vote against the Labour councillors because they have sanctioned the felling of diseased or overgrown trees, which as has been stated ad nauseum, will be replaced by more suitable species.

I rather think that voters will focus on more important issues like the cuts to public services, social care and policing forced upon the council by a Conservative government which seems to have little regard for northern towns and cities.

It’s time that the tree lobby, most of whom I suspect are not Labour voters anyway woke up and saw the reality, which is that, although trees are an important part of our green and pleasant city, there are other more important issues concerning councillors at the moment, such as trying to maintain vital services in the face of massive government cuts.
