Waiting room for managers

Have your say

in the old days there was a club in Cambridge Street where the turns who had not got a booking would wait for if an act did not turn up at one of the many working men’s clubs in the area, who then rang to see if anyone wanted work.

These included Peggy Bingham, good old Flo Midwood, even occasionally Gerry Dorsey, and you know where that got him.

I was wondering if this was the same with football managers, if they had a place, as there are some right ones on the merry-go-round, a lot with relegation experience and some players who could play but can’t manage
