A vulnerable Sheffield has been reunited with his stolen mobility scooter after an appeal.

The Star reported last week that the 53-year-old man from Ecclesfield was appealing to the public to find his much-needed scooter.

South Yorkshire Police announced they found the vehicle abandoned in Parson Cross. Police Sergeant Ryan Griffiths said: “I know how much the victim relies on his scooter for his independence and the fact we’ve been able to reunite him with it is a good resolution.

“I am still appealing for information which may help us to trace those responsible.”

The theft occurred overnight between July 15 to 16 at the home on Greaves Road, when thieves entered, stole the vehicle’s keys and took the scooter.
