Vote was just a protest

I have signed the petition calling for a second referendum as I do not believe that people were voting to leave Europe but were using the vote to protest about Government policy, for example the National Health Service and cuts to public services and to protest about a weak Labour party opposition that only seemed to give lukewarm support to the remain campaign.

The result was such a close call, 5283 leave majority in Sheffield, that it cannot be democratic for most of the UK population namely those that voted to remain and those that didn’t vote at all.

If the EU and British constitutions require the assent of Parliament then surely our elected representatives should have the final say.
