Services at Tinsley will be changing from today as Sheffield City Council’s lease on the current building comes to an end.

Volunteers have come forward in Tinsley to help run a future service from a new base.

Volunteers already run 15 other libraries in Sheffield following council budget cuts.

Temporary arrangements will take place from today including a local book drop off and collection point at Tinsley Forum on Bawtry Road.

Councillor Sioned-Mair Richards, acting cabinet member for neighbourhoods said: “Library services in Tinsley are changing but they are not stopping. The really positive news is that we have local volunteers who would like to run the future service and we are working with them.”
