Have your say

Volunteers are needed to help ensure birch saplings do not dominate a heath reserve in Sheffield.

Wharncliffe Heathlands Trust is organising a day dedicated to bashing birch which may have grown too big to be controlled by the resident livestock, Shetland sheep, on Sunday, March 8.

Volunteers should wear suitable clothing and footwear. Training and tools will be provided. The meeting point is River Don bridge, Station Road, Deepcar at 11am.
