Volunteers needed for city's Youdan Trophy

Volunteers are needed to help deliver the UK's premier academy football tournament in Sheffield this summer.

Over 800 players, from some of the biggest football clubs in the world, will take part in Sheffield’s second Youdan Trophy Tournament and volunteers are now needed to cover team liaison roles, bally boy supervisor positions, general event roles and receptionists - to ensure the event runs smoothly.

The Youdan Trophy Tournament has quadrupled in size since its debut last year and teams from from Rosenborg to Everton, Seattle Sounders to FC Basel and Newcastle United to Royal Antwerp are lined up to join top-flight clubs from Africa and Europe, as well as the city’s own Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday.

“Volunteering will provide a fantastic experience at the very highest level of the game and full training will be provided.”
