Vintage off-road trials bikes stolen in raid in Chesterfield

Thieves have stolen a collection of vintage off-road trials bikes from a garage in Chesterfield.

The bikes, manufactured in the 1970s and 1980s, were stolen in a raid in Sutton Spring Wood, Calow, in the early hours of Tuesday. April 5.

The stolen bikes include 12 Hondas and a Kawasaki.

Two unused red Honda engines, dating from 1981, and four larges boxes of Honda spare parts were also taken.

Detective Constable Julian Hall said: “Whoever took these bikes must have been in the area for quite some time and must have planned it. The stolen property is unusual and there is a limited market for selling them on."
