Villagers in Sheffield to air their views on future housing developments

Have your say

Residents in a Sheffield village are to get a say on future development as they develop a neighbourhood plan.

A neighbourhood forum and area have been formally agreed for Dore, following work with Sheffield Council and the Peak District National Park Authority.

Dore Village Society is to write the plan, suggesting where new developments can be suitably built in the area.

The blueprint will then be subject to an independent examination and a referendum before coming into force.

Coun Leigh Bramall, Sheffield Council cabinet member for development, said: “This neighbourhood forum will allow people living in Dore to capture ideas and ambitions for their community which will then influence future decisions.”
