VIDEO: Who in the world is good enough to live with Kell Brook?

Kell Brook is running out of opponents who can remotely compare with his quality, says his trainer Dom Ingle.

He feels only the likes of Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley could live with the Sheffield world champion.

Brook defends his IBF welterweight strap against Canadian Kevin Bizier on March 26, a mandatory fight he’s expected to win with ease.Last year, Brook boxed just ten rounds - stopping Jo Jo Dan and Frankie Gavin in ruthless fashion.

Asked if there were warning signs flashing over fighting inferior opponents, Ingle said: “Realistically if you asked me who is in Kell’s league, I’d say the only fighters would be Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather. Your Danny Garcia, your (Robert) Guerrero, your Amir Khan, I don’t think they are in Kell’s league. Kell can only fight who is put in front of him. Who is out there to beat him?

“He is at that level where he needs to cash in. He needs to give the boxing public what they want. Kell would fight Pacquiao tomorrow.

“Bizier has been beat by (former Brook victim) Jo Jo Dan in close fights, he can punch, he is a bigger puncher than Jo Jo Dan, but the thing is Kell is levels above everybody else.”

Ingle said his team respected the IBF’s iron-ruling on mandatories. “Kell has strived all his career to become a world champion and he got his chance for the IBF title purely because of his mandatory situation. The IBF enforces a mandatory, not like the wBC or WBA, where they run the contenders around. He might never have got his chance if he wasn’t not been in the IBF rankings and forced the champion (Shawn Porter) to fight Kell.

“I’d like to see him with Timothy Bradley, Pacquiao. Kell is 30 years old now, he’s been boxing for 20 years, he needs a big fight.”

Ingle said Brook - who says he’d like to fight Gennady Golovkin at 155 pounds, isn’t overlooking Bizier.

“Kell has been in training for the last nine months. He has not shown any signs of being disinterested in what’s happening.”
