Sheffield Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal felt his side had the better chances in their 1-1 draw at home to Barnsley this afternoon.

Wednesday led from the 34th minute thanks to a freak goal from Adam Reach, but Harvey Barnes' second half stunner sealed a point for Paul Heckingbottom's Reds.

And Carvalhal insisted: "I think the highlights will show a lot of chances on our part. We offered more threat and played near Barnsley's goal, and before we scored our first we had three or four clear chances.

"We scored one and tried to get the second to finish the game but Barnsley played with organisation and they scored one goal from two or three chances. We had more chances.

"But we fought, we ran, we played with a lot of commitment and a big heart. We created chances and we didn't give too many chances away, they scored a goal because of their credit, not because of our mistake. And I think that was the story of the game."
