However, for Sheffield Wednesday head coach Carlos Carvalhal, there were no individual plaudits being handed out following that devastating display in beating Norwich City 5-1 on Saturday.

Wallace opened the scoring in spectacular fashion, Rhodes headed in either side of Cameron Jerome pulling one back, only for Morgan Fox to restore the two-goal deficit and then Forestieri capped of a fine display by rocketing a free-kick into the top corner from long range.

From back-to-front, Wednesday were magnificent and that was the theme Carvalhal stuck to.

"No individuals today," he said. "Westy very good, the fans very good, midfield very good, attackers very good. They worked a lot.

"Everybody performed at a very good level, everybody helped the team achieve a good performance and all the players, even the players like Jones, McManaman, and Semedo (substitutes), they all played their part in a good win. I don't think any player performed better than another, in my opinion. The team performed at a high level and all the players performed at a high level."

Carvalhal now turns his attention to Tuesday, when Burton Albion are the visitors.

While often at pains to point out the length of time between games, he has no concerns about this one, with the Brewers having also played on Saturday - a 0-0 draw away to Bristol City - unlike some previous fixtures where the opponents had a few extra days recuperation.

"It is different because we play in the same conditions - Burton also played (on Saturday)," he said. "I don't make excuses, we play in the same circumstances and we will be ready for the game. It is a different game, completely different opponent. It will not be easy but it will be ready for the game. The confidence when we win is high. We know we must be 100% focused and we will be ready on Tuesday for the game."

The Portuguese is also hoping for a repeat of last season when Wednesday began going through the gears at this stage before eventually securing a play-off spot and ultimately a trip to Wembley for the final.

"At this moment, everything is alright," he added. "We win, as I said before our team play better in the second half of the season than the first. Last season we did the same. We have a good expectation at the finish of the season, we have 11 games, six home, five away. Six home games are very important against teams that are near us, let's fight to the end and see what we achieve."
