VIDEO: Take a look at Ted

Have your say

He’s just a big, soft, cuddly teddy bear.

Big softie Ted is being cared for at the RSPCA Animal Centre in Attercliffe and is desperate to find a fantastic, forever home and an owner to love him.

RSPCA Sheffield branch animal care manager Tony Benham said: “We believe that gorgeous Ted is an akita mastiff cross who is about six years old. He has a teddy bear-shaped head and a plush coat that someone should enjoy grooming and he’s a pleasure to be around.

“He came in July, through no fault of his own, in relatively good condition and he has no known health problems.

“This loving and active dog enjoys a good run about and playing with his cuddly toys. His favourite is a cuddly gorilla and he’ll want to take that on to his new home.

“Ted is usually very friendly with everyone he meets. He is always ready for an adventure and a chance to get out and about.

“Due to his energy and size, if his new home has children, we’d prefer them to be older teenagers. He gets on fine with most dogs but being big and exuberant, a meet and greet with any fellow canines in his new home, would be needed.”

RSPCA Sheffield Branch is open daily, except Wednesday, from 12.30pm until 3.30pm. Ring 0114 2898050.
