Wednesday fell behind to a Michael Turner own goal and that lead was doubled when George Saville struck for Wolves.

A late Lewis McGugan penalty pulled it back to 2-1 but the home side were well worth the win.

Dom said: "They battled and tried their best but they looked a bit disjointed at times."

Wednesday will now play Brighton in the play-off semi-finals after a 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough at the Riverside saw Boro take the last automatic promotion place.

The first game will be at Hillsborough on Friday, a factor which Dom says could prove crucial.
