Despite the spectacular sight at Derwent Dam, Storm Doris caused a number of problems for residents yesterday as gale-force wind and rain battered the country.

A passenger plane was forced to abort its landing at Doncaster Sheffield Airport while many train services were delayed or cancelled as a result of the weather conditions.

Record wind speeds of 71mph swept across the city as almost 900 homes homes in Dore were plunged into darkness after a power cut.

Fallen trees and flooding caused havoc on Sheffield's roads but that wasn't enough for one brave runner to bare all in the elements.

A naked man was snapped by our eagle-eyed photographer racing through Sheffield in just shorts, socks and a backpack despite the blustery conditions.
