More than 200 Brownies descended on Meadowhall to take part in a big Brownie 100th birthday conga.

Brownies from Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster and Barnsley joined in with the conga, which was organised as part of a year-long set of challenges and adventures taking place nationally to mark the 100th birthday of the Brownies.

Sarah Rackham, assistant Brownie leader in Rotherham, said: “Our Brownies all really enjoyed the conga – our biggest yet in the UK – through the lower malls of Meadowhall and it certainly amused shoppers we saw along the way.

“It was a great celebration and we’d like to thank all the staff at Meadowhall for making us so welcome.”
