There's a box of toys worth £10,000, some individual items valued at hundreds of pounds...and others, just a few pence each.

But curator and collection owner Matt Fox believes it will inspire visitors to go check their attics, garages and drawers for super rare Star Wars toys like a Boba Fett figure which sold last year for $85,000.

Stormtroopers, Darth Vader and a TIE Fighter Pilot - members of the UK Garrison cosplay team - will be on parade for 'selfies' at the launch, at Experience Barnsley, inside the iconic Town Hall, on Saturday, April 21.

Matt Fox, owner of the incredible collection, will reveal how it came about, what his most treasured object is and the rarest item, with two special talks at 11am then 12 noon inside the Council Chambers. He says: "Why not a Star Wars toys exhibition in Barnsley?

"These toys have been collected by fans all over the world and there's such a huge interest in the film franchise. It will bring back a lot of memories for people who remember having some of these toys. But we've also got original posters, even two life size Stormtroopers."
