VIDEO: Sheffield Wednesday will get even stronger, says Carvalhal after 1-1 draw with Reading
Sheffield Wednesday head coach Carlos Carvalhal has tipped his side to get even stronger in the second half of the season as his side pushes for promotion to the Premier League.
The Owls are unbeaten in their last five, after drawing with Reading at the Madejski Stadium, and they were made to work for the point as the Royals put Wednesday under pressure for long periods of the game.
Gary Hooper, fresh from signing a permanent contract with the club, scored his seventh in seven games to put Carvalhal's men in front but Reading registered a deserved equaliser through Jake Cooper.
Carvalhal admitted that his side were a little weary towards the end, and though the Portuguese was somewhat disappointed with the result, he says the Owls are capable of getting better and better.
"I reckon that we can be more strong in the second half of the season," Carvalhal said. "We are in a much better position than at the start of the season and we are winning a lot of points. So let's see what we can do.

"We take every game, in whichever competition, very seriously. We are outsiders for the sixth place but we are still in a very good position.
"We started the game very well with very high quality. But we lost some energy and the capacity to keep the ball in attack.
"The result wasn't what we liked or what we wanted but it's the reality. Reading had much more of the ball but we controlled the game. We always expected to create something on the counter-attack."
