VIDEO: Sheffield Wednesday launch their new shirts

Sheffield Wednesday have today unveiled their brand new strips for the 2016/17 season.

The home shirt has caused quite a stir online. Modelled by striker Fernando Forestieri, the strip is primarily blue with white pinstripes and matching blue shorts and white socks. It reinvents a Wednesday jersey of the early 1960s.

The away shirt comprises an eye-catching blend of black shirts, orange shorts and hooped socks.

The third change strip is predominantly white with blue trim and shorts, finished with hooped blue and white socks.

All three shirts have been designed by Sondico and have the ‘Chansiri’ motif across the front, underlining the continued sponsorship commitment of the Owls’ chairman.

The home strip will be available for fans to buy at the club’s community fun day Owls in the Park on Sunday, which runs from 11am-5:30pm at Hillsborough Park, and in the club’s Megastore.

The adult home short sleeved shirts are priced at £55 and juniors £49.

The away and third strips will follow.
