VIDEO: Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder's passionate celebration after his side's 3-2 victory at Oxford

They say all wins are equal, but some feel a whole lot bigger than most others.

And that was certainly the case for Chris Wilder last night, judging by his reaction to Sheffield United's 3-2 victory at his former club Oxford United.

Table-topping United looked set to suffer a frustrating evening when they went 1-0 down and lost Jake Wright to a facial injury.

But Billy Sharp's brace, one from the penalty spot, and Kieron Freeman's cross-cum-shot saw them go eight points clear of second-placed Fleetwood and 11 ahead of Scunthorpe, who lost in the last minute at Charlton.

And Wilder certainly enjoyed it, despite a slightly nervy finish when Toni Martinez pulled one back for the hosts late on. Blades fan Tom O'Hara said: "That from Chris Wilder was absolutely incredible, what a man."

And Paul McDonald added: "Might start a petition to get Billy Sharp and Chris Wilder knighted."

United now have a free weekend coming up, with original opponents Millwall still in the FA Cup, and eight of United's remaining ten games are against sides in the bottom half of League One.

"People will say it [promotion] is ours to lose and, looking at the table, that’s probably right,” Alan Knill, Wilder's Blades assistant, said.

“But that doesn’t mean we’ve achieved anything yet because we haven’t. There’s still lots of tough and important games coming up.”
