United went ahead early through Billy Sharp but Nigel Adkins side failed to capitalise on that and in the end they allowed the Robins back into the game with the visitors equalising through Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill.

James said: "Ultimately it was 90 minutes of frustration for Nigel Adkins and his team. Overall it was probably a fair result by virtue of the sheer amount of possession that Swindon Town had; they would have been very hard done by had they come away and not taken anything from the game."

Our Blades reporter added: "When it does become frustrating and disappointing for Sheffield United is they they had such a terrible autumn period they are now in a position where they are playing catch up, so any dropped points are going to be felt particularly painfully."
